 1. Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles, California

 

The Fashion Design Department at Otis College of Design (OTIS) offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Fashion Design. Program highlights include an annual fashion show and access to famous guest design mentors such as Billabong, Venus Williams, and Urban Outfitters. All OTIS students have the opportunity to enroll in the school’s Study Abroad program during their final years of study. 2. Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon

The School of Design and Human Environment at Oregon State University (OSU) is home to the popular Fashion Program at OSU. The School offers a BS in Apparel Design and an MA, MAIS (Master of Arts in International Studies), and PhD in Design and Human Environment. All fashion students (graduate or undergraduate) may participate in the School of Design and Human Environment annual fashion show—designed, modeled, built, managed, and promoted by OSU students.

 

3. Academy of Art University, San Francisco, California

4. Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles, California

 

Established in 1969, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) consists of four well-placed campuses in the state’s top fashion, entertainment, and manufacturing cities. FIDM campuses include Los Angeles (home of the famous LA Fashion District which features the largest selection of textiles and notions in the United States), San Francisco, Orange (Irvine, CA), and San Diego. Established in 1899 as the San Francisco State Normal School, San Francisco State University (SFSU) is one of 23 campuses in the California State University (CSU) system. 20. California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, Pomona, California

 

Established in 1938, California State Polytechnic University-Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) is part of the 23-campus California State University System. Home to more than 23,000 students, the school sits on a 1,438-acre campus just 30 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles.
